As previously discussed, homebrew refers to any fan-made additions or changes to the game which includes monsters, spells, magic items, and a whole lot more. If the things they want to do aren’t explicitly stated in the rules or guidelines, players can come up with solutions to problems that aren’t in any rulebooks published by Wizards of the Coast.
